Become a hair model
The eyes have it; along with the eyebrows, ears, nose, legs, head, pubic area, back, underarms and just about anywhere on the human body except the palms of the hand and the bottom of the feet hair grows.
Manufacturers of hair products hire models from their actor’s head shots that have beautiful hair to begin with to model hairstyles. Many people may have a say in choosing the just the right face for the right brand. When the print model gets chosen from his or her competition, he or she follows instructions from his or her model management agency for on set directions. The more versatility in hair, the better the shot and the more work the actor and model will get. Often advertising tear sheet photos will come from the creative job and be great for a model and actor’s portfolio.
To to keep the work and hair flowing, every day eye makeup and mascara needs healthy hair care. Eyelashes are hair and the better care of eye lashes the fuller, lusher, longer the eyes lashes will appear.

Good for the eyes, Good for the hair, skin and nails!
When working as an eye model, eyelashes are important part of a model life and require the same attention as a model hairstyle. The lash is hair that grows to protect our eyes from environmental pollution, sun and debris. The life cycle of a healthy lash is about three months, continually growing and falling out. The top lashes are fuller than the bottom, about three to one.
Eye models and actors it is important to take care of our eyes and eyebrows. Fashion models, editorial models, parts models, actors at work all must follow instructions given by the stylist on wardrobe preparation. It is important that the actor and model think of his or her self as a product. Consider any comments from the photographer, stylist, hair and make up artist as packaging the model as part of the product. If there is a hair stylist, make up artist or set stylist, remember they are the experts and therefore responsible for model or actors’ appearance.
Protection of the model or actors eyes it may be necessary to inform the makeup artist eyes experience sensitive. One fashion show in Paris, after the stylist used communal makeup I got an eye infection, which put me out of work for a week or so. As model management director, I recommend models and actors bring a good selection eye makeup palette, mascara and human lashes to the set for the film photographer and the set stylist. Eventually, experienced models will know how to apply makeup professionally for their best photos. Also, do not pluck eyebrows except over the nose line. Eyebrows go in and out of style, fine pencil lines to bushy. Keep the natural eyebrow line. Models can color the eyebrow to match their skin tone.
Hair models, parts models and talented actors pursuing advertising agency or manufacturer hair care products have to keep their gorgeous hair! For the most part, I like my hair even though it is straight, slightly wavy; color is a naturally blonde, fine hair. I have lots of hair, fine hair strands, almost like cotton candy. Fine strands that sometimes are almost translucent when held up to the light. Shed strands can be hard to see even against a contrasting background. Fine hair is difficult to feel or it feels like an ultra-fine strand of silk. Fine hair and thin hair can easily be confused, but while fine hair refers to the thickness (or lack thereof) of the actual hair shaft, thin hair is about the density. It's how much hair that a model or actor actually have.
Models and talented actors, we all have issues with our hair, adding, stripping, coloring, curling, straightening, cutting, styling, taking away hair, adding too with extensions, human hair toppers, shine and shimmer. We have hair (or lack of hair), there’s a product for that! Hair models, fashion models, actors and product models need healthy versatile hairstyles for different ads.
Early in my model fashion career I was happy to have hair model creative jobs, receive sample products, get my hair done, have professional model photographer give me model portfolio photos so I was model ready for model hair catalog work and be paid by salons thus enhancing my acting career.
On these creative jobs where I would trade for samples, photos. However the model has no control or say in the finished makeup or haircut. Makeup can be removed. Hair cuts need time to grow.
What is good for the hair is good for skin and nails!
Then, I was offered a job with one salon that cut my hair in a weird style. Over style to the point that my option for healthy hair was to cut it off and start over. It took a couple of years to for my hair to grow out.
I worked for all kinds of beauty businesses, large to medium size. Advertising campaign catalogs and manufacturers to help promote styling aids that can smooth, scrunch, relax, dye, tone and hydrate hair.
A trim every two months or so, depending on the growth of your hair is good to get rid of dry ends. “Foods with B6 include bananas, potatoes (both white and sweet), and spinach. Major sources of B12 include meat, poultry, fish, and dairy products. Just like dejunking your diet will help clear your skin and make it look better, eating the right healthy foods might make your scalp and hair less greasy.
Keep your scalp (and eyelashes) clean from film and debris with vitamin B5-rich Greek yogurt, suggests hairstylist Carla Rivas, co-founder of the all-natural hair growth vitamin, Hair La Vie. In addition to keeping follicles from becoming irritated, she says that B5 promotes healthy, strong hair growth.
Spinach, broccoli and kale offer vitamin C, which keeps scalp oils circulating; lentils, eggs, poultry and salad will give you a healthy dose of zinc and iron to keep hair strands strong.
You can get folic acid with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, especially citrus fruits and tomatoes. Whole-grain and fortified-grain products, beans, and lentils also have it.
Protein is also critical for keeping your hair healthy, but many people don't get enough. Lean meats like fish and chicken, eggs, and soy products are good sources. Eat one serving every day.
Because trace minerals like iron, magnesium, zinc, and biotin also affect hair, it's a good idea to take a daily multivitamin.”
